This, my friends, is not fat

Rumors have been circulating that Eva Longoria is pregnant. She says she is just fat. I say, neither.
When pregnant women start packing on the pregnancy pounds, it's usually in the chest first. Eva Longoria is either a freakish pregnant women or she is being 100% honest about her delicate condition, or lack thereof.
Eva Longoria is a beautiful woman with smaller-than-average curves. When the press nitpicks at her weight, they are implying that the rest of us shouldn't accept our God-given assets. She does not look pregnant or fat.

Winner/Loser: Katie Holmes

Sometimes even good people make bad decisions. This week, we are going to give Katie Holmes the benefit of the doubt. As you can see here, she clearly knows what jeans should look like.

Not only are these a modern, low-waisted cut, but they have the wide legs that make her casually slouchy without adding weight to her tiny frame.

This look is just plain adorable. The all black ensemble with jeans and boots adds sophistication to a look desperate housewives all over the US choose every day. Extremely MILF-y.

This, on the other hand, is a fashion nightmare. Did Tom take the stylist back to LA with him? I think I wore an outfit just like this to a New Kids on the Block concert in eighth grade. Ill fitted t-shirt + baggy, pegged jeans = street performer. The hat is perfectly for tossing your spare change into as you walk by without a second glance.

Wear This Trend: Plaid

Like it or not, every stylish person this fall will be sporting plaid. If you aren't Scottish or underage, you must obey a few simple rules to pull this one off without looking like a Queen Elizabeth wanna-be.

Rules for Plaid:
  1. Do not combine it with any other patterned garment, not even another plaid. Enough is enough.
  2. Avoid matching your other garments to one of the dominant colors in the plaid. Try to bring out one of the lesser colors in the pattern, or wear a color that is complementary to the whole palette.
  3. Plaid is a bold statement, so keep accessories to a minimum.
  4. Plaid looks modern and crisp when worn in sleek cuts. Try pencil skirts, tailored jackets, and tights.
  5. Avoid wearing it with denim or chunky shoes, lest you be mistaken for an early nineties Seattle grunge rocker.
  6. Break any or all of the above rules if it looks truly amazing.
